Graduating from the College of Wooster with a BA in English has given me a solid background in communication that has served me in many different ways throughout my career. Prior to starting Accent on Organizing, I was a project manager for an architecture firm in Columbus Ohio. It was during those years that I fine tuned my love of design and space planning. I worked closely with clients to understand their needs and help translate this critical information to the architects. I hired contractors and managed large jobs from site work through final punch lists. When the recession hit, the firm was forced to lay off the entire team. Suddenly out of work, I wanted to reinvent myself and work utilizing my passion for working with people and creating great space. Hence, Accent on Organizing was born.
I have obtained my certified professional organizer status because I believe in staying on the forefront of the industry. I am required to obtain continuing education credits to further my knowledge and expertise in the industry. As a member of the National Association of Professional Organizers, I served two terms as the Ohio Chapter President. I was recently asked to accept a position on the National team serving as a liaison to the chapter presidents.
The Container Store asked me to join the team as a contractor in the Contained Home Program. I assist Container Store customers with organizing, space planning and storage solutions for closets and all rooms in the home or office. See my design page for inspiration!
